OC Bios: Clara

And now for the final character bio. Clara got a slightly new hairstyle and her shirt is a little more detailed this time around.

“Clara Alvarez is an on-again, off-again close friend to Pepito and Juan and is the tallest of the four. Aside from being known for her sarcastic disposition and dead-pan snark, she is very wise and has an encyclopedic knowledge of the occult from all over the world as well as knowing a variety of curses to use against her enemies. During the day, Clara is working to become a Curandera (Native healers of Amerindian descent), but by night, she works alone as a ghost hunter. Always calm and in complete control of herself, Clara makes for a very deadly opponent not only because of her mystical abilities, but also because of her training in the Jeet Kune Do style of martial arts. In fact, Clara is one of the only people who came the closest to killing off Pepito and Juan during their first encounter before she befriended them. Lupe herself considers Clara her main rival since they don’t get along with each other very much. However, both Lupe and Clara have a hidden respect for each other which eventually leads to an inevitable friendship between the two of them. Clara also has a major sour tooth and will usually aid Pepito and Juan with any supernatural enemy if they can provide sour foods/candies and give them to her as payment.

Clara first met Pepito and Juan when she saw what they can do during major fights and decided to track them down and place a curse on them that gives her the ability to stop their hearts from beating at will. With that curse, she forced the two of them into helping her track down La Llorona (the ghost from Mexican lore) every night after midnight. Because Pepito and Juan never had experience dealing with supernatural things before, they were completely helpless for the time being and had no choice but to obey Clara and help her hunt down the ghost every night or else Clara will kill them. When Pepito found a way to break the curse, he had to choose whether to take down Clara or help her take down the bigger threat, La Llorona, who was terrorizing the entire city every night since her appearance.

As a person, Clara has a creepy and malevolent personality that strikes fear into people despite her appearance. She never hesitates to get a job done even if the costs are great. Her reputation is the reason she’s always found alone and also the reason for her anti-social behavior. Like Lupe, Clara is very merciless towards her enemies but unlike her, Clara will not hesitate to kill if she has to. Despite these characteristics, Clara becomes a different person around people she knows. In truth, she’s a very shy person deep down, but hides it well with sarcastic remarks, dark humor, and occasional mild insults. She also hides the fact that she cares alot for Pepito and Juan, since they’re the only friends she’s got and therefore the only people who ever treated her kindly even after almost killing them.
